Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information in the form of a text file, sent by a web server and stored on the computer of a visitor to a website. It can then be read back later by the web server when required. The use of cookies is a convenient way of allowing a computer to remember specific information relating to a website. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
The Fitz Events website uses cookies to collect detailed website usage data. The list below explains the cookies we use on our public website and why.
